About Us

The “About Us” is a story that begins… Once upon a time there was a High School in Phoenix, Arizona (Central High) where two 13 year old girls met in PE class. A genre all its own in 1970. One was a singer drama geek and the other a visual artist. Beginnings are the truest “Center” of all story telling.

Those two girls went on to live, love and develop their artistry, on separate coasts and even in other countries at times. Occasionally the two would meet socially in the place where they grew up- another life center, no matter how far we roam, it remains- staying in touch somewhat casually.

Then almost 40 years to the anniversary of that High school beginning, they meet again to explore and collaborate on an idea to blend the art form of music with the visual representation and symbolism of image to create expressive illustrated lyrics.

Now as the story would have it both of the “not really girls anymore so let’s change the narrative up to say “old friends” were both relocating and re-establishing homes, working, farming, getting degrees, and producing design work for others together, so living busy happy lives. The Dream-a-Month idea collaboration flourished alongside of all this happy life activity and in 2017 the concept was fully realized and moved to product development. And here we are now at another beginning, Dream-A-Month 2021.

At the truest “center” of this “About Us” partnership is a life long interest, enjoyment and respect for each other as artists and women.
